As we all know Progressive MS* has only a few treatment options out on the market, and solutions are urgently needed. This is why the MSIF partnered together with the MS Societies of Canada, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States to begin a International Progressive MS Collaborative, which is now dedicated to finding solutions to Progressive MS.
Symptoms of MS come as numbness and tingling or even blindness and paralysis. MS is an unpredictable chronic illness which disables the central nervous system which then interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the rest of your body.
The new and very dedicated global MS community are now finding solutions to understand the complexity of Progressive MS.
Research priorities have been identified, and each will be tackled with a multi-disciplinary approach to drive new therapies for people with progressive MS.
As the newly formed team continues to find new information they will broadly communicate the information found, also specific opportunities to participate this research will soon be made available worldwide.
